When we write a check for $50, $100, or even $1,000 at times we may think, are we truly making a difference? Rest assured, you are making a difference. Despite the economy, the generous support of our donors enabled the Foundation to transfer over $2M to the Medical Center, which allowed the hospital to continue the excellent work of our Sisters, employees, physicians, and volunteers.
Because of YOU, the Medical Center was able to provide Palliative Care to ailing individuals and families, redesign the outpatient imaging space into a redesigned Women’s Wellness and Imaging Center (scheduled to open in Summer 2011), and purchase vital equipment (specialized spinal surgery table, orthopedic equipment, and cardiac-thoracic video scope to name a few).
In addition, the first floor renovations to the new Rezek Centre were completed and the Baby and Family Wellness Center opened. Our hybrid heart suite, the first of its kind in the Inland Empire, will be completed in early 2012. Volunteers of the St. Bernardine Medical Center Auxiliary generously donated toward the Heart Walk, planned for the corner of Highland and Valencia.
