Thanks to a tradition of caring at St. Bernardine Medical Center, almost every area of the medical center has been supported and sustained by charitable gifts.

For nearly four decades, St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has received and dispersed charitable gifts exclusively for the medical center.

Governed by a 35-member volunteer Board of Trustees, the Foundation manages special events, estate and planned-giving opportunities and all charitable gifts in support of our hospital.

Areas recently expanded or receiving important funding from the Foundation include orthopedics; critical care; neonatal and maternal services; wound care; women's wellness & imaging center; and our heart program, which is the second-largest cardiac program in Southern California and ranked among the top 10 in the state.

Unlike other charities, 100 percent of all tax-deductable gifts to St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation go directly to the hospital. No portion of the gift is used for administrative costs.
