Verizon Foundation Brings $45,000 to St. Bernardine Medical Center
The grant will assist in enhancing the hospital's electronic record infastructure, which will include purchasing and upgrading technical equipment and software packages as well as traning physicians and support staff on retrieving information, updating records, creating new files and transferring vital medical data.

Gathering At Twilight
Marking the 50th anniversary of the Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute the Foundation hosted a Gathering at Twilight, a memorable evening that raised over $340,000.

Generous Employees Make a Difference
At St. Bernardine Medical Center, our compassionate employees have consistently opened their hearts in support of our hospital’s mission.  This year 435 employees have participated in the Employee Giving Campaign and raised $155, 829.

Federal Grants the Foundation Received

• A $500,000 grant from Congressman Joe Baca to help purchase a Digital Mammographic Imaging System, the gold standard for detecting breast cancer.

• A $500,000 grant from Congressman Jerry Lewis to help purchase an Endovascular Surgical Suite that is a specialized surgical room with a dual purpose, capable of advanced imaging to view smaller, obscure vessels and able to conduct minimally invasive surgical procedures. 

Legacy of Caring
Since its inception, our Legacy of Caring Society attracts new members each year, doubling from 17 members in 2007 to 39 today, all with a common purpose to leave a legacy with our hospital. During the last fiscal year (July to June), members contributed $450,000.
