St. Bernardine Medical Center Auxiliary Donates $250,000 for Heart Walk
Our SBMC Auxiliary has given a five year $250,000 pledge to support the new Heart Walk project. The three acres of property located on the corner of Valencia and Highland next to St. Bernardine will soon be a lush green Heart Walk that will provide beautiful walking trails for exercise and respite! The goal is for St. Bernardine employees, patients and the community to utilize the walking paths as part of a healthy lifestyle. In addition, donors who contribute to the project will be acknowledged by plaques and a naming wall in the garden. $200,000 Grant Recieved From The California Wellness Foundation
The California Wellness Foundation donated $200,000 to support SBMC’s Heart Care Clinic. The free Heart Care Clinic helps each patient create and follow a comprehensive disease management and rehabilitation plan tailored to an individual’s heart care needs. Thus providing effective screening, follow up, and monitoring while reducing health costs from repeated hospitalizations.
