Creating a Family Legacy
For those who desire to leave a legacy that lasts beyond a lifetime, St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation can work with you to explore potential estate and planned gifts that will preserve your wishes, protect your family from unnecessary taxes, and create a meaningful gift.
The most simple is a bequest articulated in your personal will or trust. For sample bequest language, please refer to Remembering Us In Your Will Guide. You may also want to include creative estate and planned giving options, such as life estate agreements, charitable unitrusts, securities, charitable gift annuities, life insurance, or a charitable lead trust. To learn more, please read our Find the Gift that Best Fits YOU.
Currently, a Charitable Lead Trust is a great option due to the incredibly low applicable federal rates (AFRs) for planned gifts. A low AFR means that individuals can pass on greater value to their family at a significantly reduced tax cost while also benefiting St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation.

St. Bernardine Medical Center is thankful to the many families who have already entrusted us to carry their legacy forward for the next generation. Our Foundation staff are trained to answer your questions and help you review the options that best meet your goals, objectives, and family legacy plans. Several people have already taken advantage of these types of planning vehicles and have been able to assure financial security for themselves, their families, and their favorite charity.
